Hello,
I am keen to offer my services as a tutor for Year 8 students who are hoping to enter a selective school. I am also capable of tutoring students who want to do scholarship exams having been accepted into Melbourne High with 4 out of 4 superiors.
I have a large amount of experience with tutors, and I believe I have observed enough to provide your child with the proper amount of help and preparation to be successful, whilst not overloading them. I also do work for another tutor, where I help children much like yours with problems, they might have with their test papers.
I hope that I will get the opportunity to help your children fulfill their goals and eventually get accepted into a selective school. Test Prep
Practice plays a significant role in any activity that you do throughout life. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect, and this applies to the selective or any scholarship exam as well. I believe that learning theory alone is not enough, which is why my main way of studying for the exam was completing as many practice tests as I could. This method will work wonders for your child as well because completing exam-style questions in an exam environment is pivotal.
I have a substantial amount of practice tests at my disposal which I will be providing to your child every week until the test. They will complete all four multiple-choice tests, Verbal Reasoning, Numerical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Mathematics, each 30 minutes in duration. The way this is executed will be as close to the real test as possible. After the completion of the tests, there will be a thorough review of questions that they got wrong and questions that they are unsure of how to complete. Furthermore, throughout the program, I will provide the student with many tips and techniques, giving them the right advice to effectively complete the test. This ensures that there are fewer questions that they might get wrong in the next set of tests, and the student will have better techniques to handle the test. So, at the conclusion of my program, your child will be at their full potential ready to succeed in the final exam. Since there are only 15 weeks until the exam, all your child needs at this stage is to do as many practice tests as possible, review them with the tutor who can help them learn from their mistakes and discover the techniques they need to excel.
